Trees, Tracks & Test Drives, Jaguar Land Rover at the Festival of Speed

Losberger’s 30,5/800 x 40m Palas was home to the Jaguar Land Rover stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed for the second year running.

 

Following the success of last year’s stand; where a record number of leads were reported, JLR’s event management company, The Event Business, executed yet another superb event.

 

Provided with a similar brief to last year, Losberger were required to build a structure that combined the Jaguar and Land Rover brands under one roof. Despite the relentless downpours and copious amounts of mud, the dreadful weather was no match for the Losberger crews. The structure was once again finished to an extremely high standard, well within schedule.

 

The two storey 30,5/800 x 40m Palas was raised on a scaffold base to meet the levels of the Jaguar Land Rover Experience track and exterior decked display areas, calculated by independent structural engineers. To complement the structure Losberger installed bespoke interiors including column covers, soffits, ceiling linings and large format graphics along with a kitchen, store and office area to the 1st floor and a store on the ground floor.

 

Losberger overcame the challenge of the tree that stands in the middle of the event space by designing the structure to fit around it; removing elements of the floor system. The tree area provided a lower level floor that was used as a miniature Land Rover experience track with remote control cars for younger visitors.

Losberger also supplied the impressive exterior graphic parapet that had to be reinforced to accommodate 3D logos (supplied by others). The overall finish of the structure was remarkable and included design details such as glass handrails for the owners lounge.

 

To the left hand side of the structure was the Jaguar passenger experience and to the right the Land Rover experience, which featured an off road hydraulic course.
