Marquee architecture in mobile exhibition stand construction

Largest construction fair in the world draws to a close in Munich - Losberger provided creative room concepts

Enormous excavators, giant cranes, impressive trade fair structures and new technology trends: for a whole week, Munich was all about bauma 2016. Around 580,000 visitors from 200 countries came to the exhibition site to the east of the Bavarian capital in mid-April.

The bauma trade fair occupied all the exhibition halls as well as an enlarged open-air ground at the “Neue Messe München”. The tall exhibits in particular could be marvelled at on the open-air ground. With its functional room concepts for the outdoor area, Losberger GmbH created thousands of additional square metres of exhibition space for a whole range of different exhibitors and their requirements. The exhibition marquees and pavilions were an integral part of the booth design and brand presentation for various international companies such as Bomag, Manitowoc, Amman, Kubota, Hiab or Paschal. “Our customers are agencies, booth builders or the companies themselves, whereby the main focus is clearly on booth builders,” Edgar Reichert, Trade Fair Project Manager at Losberger, reports. “Our marquees, halls and pavilions result in objects whose shape, height and design areas alone attract a lot of attention,” Reichert continues, “and in combination with the sophisticated grounds layout and fascinating products result in unique trade fair booths.”

This year, the large product portfolio that Losberger has to offer in the field of marquees and trade fair constructions was particularly in focus: from large, two-storey structures with generous glazing and impressive facade design through to new cubic products such as Palas, Kubo and Cyclone. “Most clients required two-storey structures, individually planned with canopies, covered balconies and galleries,” Reichert explains. Losberger Modular Systems GmbH, a subsidiary within the Losberger Group, delivered further modular systems in the form of pavilion and container modules.

All in all, the Losberger Group erected around 20 different room solutions this year, providing more than 5,000 square metres of usable booth space. 35 trailer trucks transported the Losberger marquee material to Munich, where it was set up by four Losberger teams in five weeks. Services such as heating and air-conditioning, lighting and decoration were also provided.
