Helping with Losberger tents

Losberger again provides aid for the victims of China's earthquake/Mobile hospitals remain in place

Three weeks after the earthquake in the Chinese province of Szechuan, the rescue forces are still struggling to take care of the victims, and the hospitals in the area are filled with the injured. Some of the clinics were badly damaged and simply cannot cope with the large numbers of injured people, and this is why the temporary space solutions which Losberger erected after the catastrophe will be remaining in place for a while.

On April 20, China's earthquake monitoring centre registered a force 7.0 quake which struck the region around the city of Ya'an. Losberger responded immediately, and, working closely with the regional administrations, aid organisations and disaster relief forces, provided, free of charge, several thousand square metres of tented area for temporary hospitals and rescue services. Under the direction of Yibin Chen, who is the managing director of Losberger's Chinese subsidiary, the various tent units were supplied within 25 hours and erected directly with the company's own fitters. Mobile hospitals were erected and also emergency accommodation and warehouse tents for relief supplies. The disaster happened just a few weeks before the fifth anniversary of the devastating Szechuan earthquake in 2008, when the Chinese Losberger team also sent tents and manpower to the area of the catastrophe.

Losberger is the biggest manufacturer and hirer of event tents in China and, as a group of companies which operates all over the world, is at home in extremely disparate regions and markets. Ever since 1999, the Losberger Shanghai subsidiary has been playing its part in the systematic development of the Asian market.
